Scouting Purdue is a student organization at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana guided by the values and traditions of Scouting America. Refounded in 2023 after a multi-year hiatus, we exist to bridge the gap between a Scout’s youth experience and their adult life which begins in college for many.
Too often, Scouts who age out lose their connection to the movement. We’re here to change that. By building an active community on campus, we give Scouts a place to continue service, leadership, and personal growth throughout their university years and beyond.
Our session at the National Annual Meeting (NAM) explores the untapped potential of college-aged Scouts: how they can strengthen local councils, support youth units, and carry Scouting’s mission into every career field.
